Mr. Michaelis told me about a new theory of his. Aah, but I kind of screwed it up for him.

Anyway, he thinks Miss Nanami is the mastermind.

Anyway, Mr. Michaelis thinks it's in our best interest if the mastermind stays alive as long as possible, if they truly did care about helping us, and maybe we could have gotten some information from her if we put pressure on the people she wanted to protect most. . .like Miss Feferi.

But, ah. I went to Miss Nanami directly instead of Feferi. I. . .may have sort of kind of bluffed that people would target the special group one by one leaving the mastermind all alone, in an attempt to get information.

Needless to say, that didn't go very well!

I do think it's her, but probably not for the reasons you think....

[But everything else gets a blank stare]

On the plus side, I think she might. . .have calmed down slightly when I reiterated I didn't want any of them to be hurt. And I don't think she realizes who's accusing her, since she thinks Mr. Michaelis wants her dead.

Buuut on the downside she might think a few of us are trying to pick them off one by one, haha. . .ha. . .

She said I have no understanding of the situation and that would be our downfall. She also gave me this. [he flashes the picture from his pocket] I have no idea what it is, but I assume it's someone. . .something important to her, and she said it helps her feel better, and maybe it would help me feel better, too. Honestly it just weirds me out some.

[a sigh]

I feel bad for upsetting her, and Mr. Michaelis too. I could tell he was a bit frustrated with me. I don't think she's going to do much, though.

She kept saying.... to end the game, we have to find the Mastermind. And kill the Mastermind. She kept saying she wanted to save everyone, that her biggest fear was that no one would survive. But I think, if she refused to play along, they'd just kill all of us... that's why.

I know, I know! I need to tell her eventually it was just a bluff. . .

Mm, that's part of why Mr. Michaelis suspected her too.
